Who We Are

superfats is Laurie Jenkins, Clevelander for 15+ years, Pittsburgh implant and JCU alum.

I started superfats in an effort to break free from the major corporations that run the soap industry. I was frustrated with the lack of supermarket soap options – the “moisturizing bars” would dry my skin out, give my siblings hives, and use oils behind deforestation and chemical ingredients you’d want to avoid. I didn’t want to continue supporting something I wasn’t happy with.

My side project to stock my own shower quickly changed into creating a better shower experience overall. My first bar had such a noticeable impact on my skin that I wanted to secure even better ingredients, oils and additives.  Each ingredient in a soap bar has an impact on your skin, and the combinations can be tailored to your specific type, situation, occupations, etc! The opportunity to treat your body to better is there.

I started making soap 9 years ago. Since then my family and friends have been my test audience. I just recently started selling it and hope that you find something that fits your skin, mood, lifestyle, or anything else! 

I lives in Shaker Heights with my husband, son and two cats. All have been the lucky recipients of quality suds!
